EXPO DUBAI 2020 is set to have a huge impact on the economic development of the United Arab Emirates and Persian Gulf countries and therefore offers interesting business opportunities for Italian companies as well.

The EXPO will take place from October 20, 2020 until April 10, 2021 and will take place in a new urban area called Dubai South (formerly known as Dubai World Central).

It is a new Free Zone that will be divided into six districts: Residential District, Commercial District, Golf District, Logistics District, Aviation City (which includes the new Al Maktum Airport) and Dubai Exhibition City (where the EXPO will take place).

The theme chosen for the World Expo in Dubai is “Uniting Minds, Creating the Future”, and three sub-themes have been identified around which the global community will gather to sign new collaborations with the aim of finding solutions to fundamental issues, and ultimately leave a mark of the strong social and economic transformation throughout the region and the world.
